Lessons I have learned – in seven days.

I feel blessed and grateful for the fact that not only I was able to fit my lived life in Calgary after six years (moved from Cebu, Philippines to Calgary) in five suitcases – I am confident that on my next move it will be lesser. Lesser to carry, lesser expenses (as I was charged an extra 50$ for the extra weight each bag had that’s close to 200$ in total) just less – though if you ask me does this mean lesser material things accumulated throughout the lived days and years we collect on each venture?

Not necessarily, I argue that it is not the material make up that do us proud, happy and fulfilled. It is in the act of simplicity. Not having to feel sorry about having the same seasonal jacket you sport in all events, activities you may have throughout the given season. You see, I live for expressing ones character through fashion – and if you know me personally – that’s a lot of fur (real or faux), scarves, blings and oh my shoes. I find it challenging to conform into one look say Karl Lagerfeld – whose outfit consist of a white and black ensemble with his infamous fingerless gloves – does work for him.

My point is – less is more and only conform to what you know that is right for you. Know what you think and think what you know.

Having the balls and using them… a statement that has been in my mind since the day I decided to move from a city where I know (by name) people who made it easier for me to call a city a home.

This Valentines Day stop, see and feel what your love ones may wish to share with you, the heart is not meant to be visible – I hope you are digging deeper. Will you?

it is indeed below 18 degrees and the wind gusts makes it feel like below 25 degrees – cool chilly Monday not so fun day.
